Hey guys,

I am running all Hitec servos and am in need of finding replacement servo horn inserts, as well as replacement servo horns themeselves. I have no replacements what-so-ever and with the racing season starting I have a feeling I will need them. I have looked all over my LHS and did some net searching and have found nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can look? The inserts for the Hitec servos seem to be the hardest to find. Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Tom

About the best suggestion that I can come up with is Kimbrough, or possibly the Ofna metal arms. I run hitec's as well, but I've never stripped an insert.

The only other thing I could possibly suggest is maybe a traxxas set. You might be able to get something like a tmaxx insert kit (the horns that come with the maxx use inserts). Those inserts fit most other horns. Or possibly contact hitec (or the maker of your servo horn) and ask if you can buy _just_ the inserts.

At this point I will try anything. I am in need of some new inserts. If I strip one out I am done for the season, and that would stink to be out because of a servo horn insert. Thanks for the info.

That is what I am looking for... thank you sweet D.... now I just need to find the horns themselves.

I use the Ofna horns wherever possible. They have inserts and I have never had an issue with them striping. I keep a spare or two in my pit box for an emergency. I drop of CA in the insert before I put it in the horn keeps the insert intact so I dont have to hunt for it.

Does Ofna sell the horns seperately from the inserts, or can I order them all together as a set? Thanks

Tom
