I bought a rc10gt from Monkey Wrench and want to know from the experts what servos would be recommended. Thanks in advance!

race or bash?

Bash

645 for Steering

625 for Throttle/brake.

Race--- I don't race.

Bash for now but may get into racing. Have always flown planes and I'm just getting into cars and trucks. Who makes the servos you listed?

Peace

It dont take to much to turn the tires on a Rc10gt. A 645mg should be plenty. Will be a nice setup for ya! Congrats on the nice buggy!

WELL i gotta dissagree id choose two of the 625s if you are going the route. I always here you usually want a fast servo up front too. I would say just get two 625's you dont need a high torque servo in front. These little stadium trucks really aren't having to move much. Specially that RC10 there is NOTHING on the car. its totally naked.

with that mill on there the front end wont be on the ground much, maby a rudder?? j/k i have to agree there isnt much to the front of these trucks, so a 625 should be enough and is faster then the 645.

you may also want to look into repositioning the battery up front, it helps with on power steering.

Great idea. I noticed battery position on all the ones I had seen and wondered if it would help by moving it forward. Thanks!

The 645MG was a suggestion since I think he is bashing. I figured that bashing and landing "bad" would be best absorbed with a servo with MG. I was not thinking much for speed. I saw no need for it. But I do agree the 625 will suffice.

The 625 is a metal geared servo.

My bad..Metal geared and more torque.:surrender

Nope, wrong again Jon2, the 625 is metal geared and faster, the 645 is metal geared and has more torque. For throttle, the 625 is perfect, and for steering either will work well, but in a RC10 gt, but a 625 will do just fine for steering, since you don't need the torque as much as you would in a monster truck.

You might want to check TeamFastEddy.com, a short time ago he had some killer deals on Hitec Servos, he may still, but I don't know for sure.

It's coming with servos, PappaD! Don't ask me what they are (I can't remember what I had for dinner last night!) but they both work very good!

Only thinkg you'll need for that rig is a RX, it's got everything else!
