i bought a motor for a JR servo...

i'm going to buy a case, some gears, and a wire lead.

now i need to know how it goes together. any ideas? i couldn't find crap on the internet.

JR 8800T

lol. it's funny that that's the first comment here. i thought of that as i was laying down to sleep last night.

thanks rolex!

... searched. not finding anything. i see a lot of stuff for full R/Cs, but no servos.

Odd, I couldn't find any either. However, I noticed that AMain hobbies is selling them for $99.99, when the other sites have them for $199.

If you can't find the exploded view, just take apart the servo one piece at a time, and make notes of what went first or next. It will only work one way.

here's the thing... i bought a motor for this servo for $25.

i then proceeded to buy a wire lead w/ plug, a housing for it, and the proper gears all for about $30.

so... $100 servo for $55, brand new, made me pretty happy. but now i don't know what to do with it, lol.

there's purple, yellow, and white wires coming off the motor. which is which? my lead has red, black and white.

as for the gears... i think i can figure that out. like you said, rolex, there's really only one way that they can go in. it'd be nice to have some sort of instructions to follow.

I have the same servo. Gotta run right now but I'll open it later this evening and give you some pics of the motor leads.

nice!! you really do have an answer to everything, diesel. what can i say... you da man!

Sorry Mallanga mine is the 9000T. Thought I had the 8800T for some reason, though I believe the internals should be very similar. Anyways here are some pics of my motor leads and gears, you can probably figure the rest out.

Hope this helps.

wow. i'm missing that circuit board... completely. yeah... this might be a bigger project than i have anticipated! oh well... the challenge is what makes it interesting, right?

any ideas on where i would get one of those circuit boards, or should i just count my losses on this one... contact JR and see what they can do for me, maybe? this should be interesting, lol.

thank you kindly, SD. you're a gentleman and a scholar.

No circuit board? I'm thinking you might want to buy a complete servo at this point, and hold onto your spare parts till you need them.
