well i had a bit of trouble with my savage x 4.6 last year, so over this winter i am sending it away to get professionally fixed and tuned up. Few of my buddies have gotten trucks for x mas so i am pumped to get out bashing again next summer:D
 
You got a good mechanic you trust? I'd do the work and guarantee it to perform better all around and be stronger.
I have over 5 years of Savage experience. It's just a matter of how much you want done.
 
Man, hope you trust the guy. Because where I live they take poor care of your rigs, and they have been known to steal parts. So I have been doing all of my own work now. ;)
 
my plan was to send it either to a small shop across the province, or send it away to the mainland where i bought the truck...Scrogg, where are you located? sounds like you're a good one i could rely on
