I'm off with the wife and kids to Maui for a week. Can't wait to sink my feet into the warm sand and relax. The only worry I will have is getting up on time to catch the dive boat which heads out at like 6:00 am or so.

Aloha

Drink lots of water. The flight tends to dehydrate you and that'll wreak hell on your sinuses for diving. Don't forget, no diving 12 hrs PRIOR to any airline flights if you plan to do some island hopping.

OH YEAH, have a great time and watch out for those pilot fish on the reef dives. Those things are territorial!

have a great time. my trip out is planned for spring 2007. (i wanted spring 2006, but the rest of the family needs more time to save, silly brother with lousy job)

Have a great time, I was there just a couple weeks ago. The weather should still be awesome, in the 85s with very little humidity. Aloha!

Well all good things must come to an end.

Weather was awesome but was a tad on the windy side. No real problem unless you don't like getting sand blasted on the beach. We all had a great time. I was able to take the kids snorkeling with sea turtles at the beach I got certified to dive at in 97. I was surprised the turtles are still there since there is now resorts on both sides of this once prisitine beach.

Now I have 15 pages of new posts to wade through.

Ya go surfin? Hey were did you stay, I am headed there DEC 31 till JAN 21. I would be interested in where you stayed and what you thought?

I stayed at the Aston Kaanapali Shores just north of Lahaina. It is a nice place with 2 pools, 2 hot tubs and a decent place to eat next to the larger pool. It is also right on the beach which is about 2 miles long. It is my second stay there with my first being in 97.

I must warn you. They do stick it to you and charge $9 per day to park there even if you are staying.

Never the less. While the rooms look to be in need of a renovation in the next couple of years, it is still clean and I would stay there again.
