my savage won't hit second gear since this thing in the back of the clutch bell melted. I all ready have one gallon and a ahalf thur it so i dont know whats happening

Maybe you are running to rich. My buddys savage was doing the same thing after his clutch melted too. So try to lean it out a tade but keep an eye on the temp......Nick

yeah all kinds of things can effect eachother that you would not expect. it may be possible that now with the new clutch since it is grabbing so well it is making the engine bog down before it can reach high rpm to clean it self out..were as before with the slipping/worn clutch it would slip enough so that the engine could rev up and clear it self out..and get "on pipe". I'm just theorizing this and am not sure. id try lightnings advice and keep eye on temps and exhuast smoke, while leaning it out. I've had a situation just recently were i swapped a perfectly tuned engine from a buggy into a savage..and i had to retune the engine by a whole 3/4 turn out on high end and 1/4 turn out on low end..just from switching r/c's with the same motor.

well i still have the same clutch bell but it still working ok is not slipping anymore like it was before .but now one of the four screws in the headsink just mest up and it wont come out what do i need to do . need help
