Anyone have any suggestions on sealing your differentials? After a couple of snow-bashing sessions, and than letting the truck sit for a couple of days, I noticed that my rear tires weren't turning as freely as they should. Turns out that I got moisture inside the rear ( and I'm sure front) diff, and it seized the input bearing. Anyways, back to the top, any suggestions? I don't really want to have to strip this thing down completely each time I see a little water.

Clear RV Silicone. Should work well if you have plastic diff housings. Any silicone that will work on oil impregnated surfaces should do the trick.

The bearrings should be a STRONG sealed bearring such as Boca or Acer. This is the other weak spot.

Thanx Christian, I'll see if I can scare up some of those bearings. BTW, I haven't checked, does Trx make their own bearings (ie, what's in there now)?

You can get TRX bearrings (not sure who really makes them) but I strongly suggest a high rate bearring for moisture protection.

Wicked man. What I meant was, are the bearings that are in there shite or what, but dumb question, obviously they are. I'll splurge for the better ones for sure if they'll be water tight.

Also, great paint on your new body. Can I send you the military H1 I've had sitting here for the last 4 months lol? I've got a pretty cool arctic camo pattern designed, but don't want to f it up.

Acer bearrings use a new polyamite seal that they say will last 10x longer than that of the competition. I just ordered a few for my mill to stop the fuel leakage around the crank shaft. Boca also uses a very strong seal as well. Everyone I know that has purchased these has had extremely good results. I will keep you posted on how mine work out.

As far as the body goes, that was the first one I ever painted. So I dont feel comfortable enough to paint someone elses. Maybe after I do a few more. Thanks for the Kudos though!

Naw man, i was just blowin smoke. I'm not in touch with my feminine side enough to have someone else do it for me. Yours look great, i hope mine turns out as well. I'm using spray bomb though, so we'll see.

What!
You don't want some dude "Doin your body"?

Talk about a feminine side,
Christian,
Only a wimp would wear a mask while using Lacquer paint. Ill bet you even put it on when you sand CF.

"Puss" O arnt you the tuff man.

I only where the mask when I go down on your.... Oh, sorry, wrong forum! Damnit!

Smartass!

Besides, I REALLY ENJOYED DOING MY OWN BODY! I suggest it as a DAILY routine if not numerous times a day!

Now get the Silicone and seal those diffs!
