Sealed Engine

Does a sealed engine flood easier than a non sealed engine. I have seal two engines and both of these engines seem as if they flood really easy, to the point that the motor wont turn over. Any of you had this problem? or is it something related to my carb?

An engine being sealed properly will not make it flood easier. You've got other carb issues and or a weak glowplug.

I am not really sure what you are calling a non-sealed engine. But it has nothing to do with flooding. I would say over-priming or weak glow plug or battery on the glow charger

I think it is a weak glow plug, because it was just flickering not solid. Also if i am fighting temps being to high (I'm running an lc3 hot plug now) should i switch to a cooler plug? If so which plug?

Ok, i tried new glow plug and a fresh battery. No priming still flooded after trying to start and let sit for like 5 min.

Ok, got the flooding straightened out but I'm having a tuning issue. When i try to set my low speed needle I can't get my pinch right and still have it run, i am noticing rather large air bubbles in my line and my high speed needle has to be set rich (5turns) or when it shifts it dies out or sputters. Any ideas? Please help!!

You have an air leak in your tank or lines. You can find the leak by blowing into the pressure line and use soapy water to look for bubbles.

ok so i pulled the tank and current lines, dunked in sink full of water and blew into line one open one pinched, and vise versa. NO BUBBLES where else could my leak be?

Maybe the pickup tube, in the tank.

there is no pick up tube? just a fitting at the bottom?

hey guys!!! I'm new to the nitro hobby and i keep hearing people talk about "sealing the engine" what is the purpose of doing this???? should i do it???? where do u seal it??? and what do u seal it with????
