So I went to go see a guy who had a Peak Charger on CraigsList for $5 after work tonight.....and he had a bunch of RC Stuff on the floor of his living room that he was going to list. Since I was already there, he offered it to me first.

Check these pics. EVERYTHING RC related in these pics was in his lot. EVERYTHING.

Now guess how much I paid?

$30 <--- not a typo!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Now how many rigs can YOU identify?

I'll have to inventory it all, but here is what I know is there:

  • 3 electric rollers (1 Traxxas Rustler (possibly 2 looking back at the pics) and 1 Team Associated RC10T3)
  • 2 Nitro Chassis' (Skid Plate is stamped TRX so maybe a Rustler? and one marked AE)
  • 1 Duratrax Piranha AC/DC Peak Charger
  • 1 HiTech Quick Charger (looks REALLY old)
  • 1 DuraTrax Streak ESC
  • 1 Stinger 20 Turn Motor
  • 1 Speed Gems P10 Kobal Motor
  • 1 Set of Savage Wheels and Tires
  • 1 Set of Stadium Truck Rims
  • 1 Set of Truggy/Buggy Wheels
  • A few other Misc Wheels/Tires
  • 5 Battery Packs (4 1500maH and 1 2500maH)
  • 1 set of Buggy Shocks (Appears complete, but disassembled
  • Tons of Shock Springs
  • A Few NIP Team Associated parts

All the vehicles with Bodies appear to have Steering Servos and one may even have a mechanical Speed Controller inside? There were a few other misc covers and plastic pieces in the box as well. It's like Christmas. lol

Nope not at all Rolex. He even carried em to my truck and I think he thought I was going to haggle with him! I couldn't pay him fast enough....I wanted to get the heck out of there before he changed his mind! hahaha

must be stolen!!! lol jk, congrats man.

Well I feel like I stole it from him. Actually he told me that he took it in trade for money a buddy owed him. He was into RC Helicopters and figured maybe he would play with the 4 wheeled stuff, but he never did and he's sick of looking at it. His buddy owed him $30....so hence the price. lol

I dunno what's wrong here. lol Things like this just fall in my lap from time to time. I scored an 88 Mustang GT Convertible a few months back...bone stock...runs perfect $700, and I needed to put $400 into it for another tranny (installed)...and found out after I bought a used tranny for $200 that it was freshly rebuilt. I'm just scoring lately. hahaha I wonder what big expense is going to hit me now? Always happens like this....I get WAY ahead and then someone above swings a baseball bat and makes me wish I was never born for a few months. lol

So now being a n00b RC guy....feel free to add comments to the pics if you can identify any of the rigs in them. Finding parts for things I'm clueless about will be a fun challenge, but worth it in the end!

...and if anyone needs anything in the pics...let me know. I love to wheel and deal! I already have an RC buddy that wants to shoot me, but he also wants an electric truck so you know how it goes. :D

OK so I identified at least one of these machines for sure. The one with the Red/White Body on it is a Team Associated RC10T3, and I slapped the Streak ESC in her last night and she fired right up and came to life! So I at least have 1 working car out of this lot with all of 30 min invested. Not a bad deal at all! I also tested the Traxxas 20 Turn Stinger motor, and she works like a CHARM! Now I just need another ESC and I will have 2 running cars out of it, or I can grab a servo and use the Mechanical Speed control on this oldie Rustler. I think ESC is a better route!

The Peak Charger works MINT as well, so this lot is working itself out to be a darn good deal thus far. I'm going to have a LOT of parts leftover though.

Buggy Shocks are 1/10th or 1/12th so won't fit your needs, plus I think 1 of them is broken....so they may just go in the trash. We shall see ;-)

what are you gonna do wirh those savage wheels and tires wink wink lol

oh and sweet buy man congrats

No plans for those yet. They won't fit my Warhead without a 17mm hub conversion, and I already have a set of RTX wheels for 17mm hubs if I do decide to go that route. I'm open to trades ;-) The wheels will probably need to be re-glued though, but they are in pretty good shape.

I currently need a cheap radio setup for the RC10T3 in this lot, and one for the Rustler as well....and a cheapy ESC for the Rustler.

I'm open to whatever though ;-)

i might have a radio and matching reciver i will look tonight when i get home i will message you later with what radio i have i have a savage that those will fit just fine lol thanks for your time

ok i just looked i have two diferent radios you can pick from i have a traxxas brand radio with reciver it was on a rustler then i have one that is hitech with the reciver also i just tested both of them with batterys and servo both work like they are sposed to just let me know what you think thanks TIM

Tell you what, you pick which one you wanna swap. I could care less ;-) Just need a few working radio setups for the few cars I fell into these past 2 weeks. I'm sick of swapping 1 TX/RX between 4 cars. lol

I'll snap a better pic of all 4 wheels and post it for you. If they look good, just PM me your address and I'll send em out ;-)
