mine spool;s in and winches, but i dont have a boom winch ... yet.. i plan on eventually being able to raise and lower it with a switch but for now ium hella happy weith the performance of it so far.
have towed a few trucks around the house lol love it

and a 360 servo as well dont forget that.

then to spool the cable you can DIY a spool pretty easily from what I've seen, but i just got one cause it came with a hook which i also wanted

hope it helps, dont forget your reciever needs a feww channel and your transmitter may not be able to easily control the winch without some other modifications.

Wow that all sounds like Chinese lol .. so do you half to get a different control an sinks it to the rig ...or how does that work ....like find extra switch on control and make it work some how ...if you get time can you please explain in more layman terms or a link that will help me understand ...hell I built a 69 Ford step side with straight 6 with a 4 speed manual transmission 44" super swampers ( before I was married)
88 Ford bronco with a 302 built 38" Micky Thompsons (before I was married)
82 elcameno with a 350 turbo 4oo trans 38" nock offs but a fun car never the less a powerfull car .(Before I was married) Lol
.but trying to understand the electronics like receiver an things of that nater I'm lost
I will appreciate your input on

And the cab on that rig what cab is that? that is the fusion right ? It looks like a chop top i like it
I'm looking to see what the fusion will look like with a small thin makeshift flat bed set between the back tires an maybe notched out around the shocks so they can extend threw ...with tow rig mounted on the flat flat bed ..lol ideas ideas

Sounds like a fun list of 1:1 builds! (also mostly pre-computers)
Learning the electronics can be tricky but hang in there!!! You'll get it! 👍
I'm not into crawling so I'm gonna sit and read and learn right along with you on this one.
The radio requirements seem to be the trick with a set up like this... we'll see! 🤔

yeah the black truck you showed is the fusion ascent, beast of a vehicle. mine is the ascent,, the fusion is the upgraded rtr version.
so, my factory redcat controller would not reel in or out my winch, they slap a basic transmitter in with the rtr to get you on the ground rolling, but thats just another upgrade point not everyones gonna need it so they leave it up to us to decide if we needs a new one.
for a winch i needed a new one. @Bwompuss suggested his radiolink controller
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DPNNTWT?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
its a bad mofo, it has 7 channels, so lots o switches and dials on this bad boy, which translates into a way to control my winch.
the factory reciever has a 3 slot recepticle, it can take 1 to turn, 2 to burn, and one other thing, while the 4th slot is for binding.. now youd foolishly think that this extra slot will let me control my winch? not really.. i mean SORT OF,,, you can tinker with epa's or trim adjustments to make it sorta work but most of the time it jusdt didmt for me.
with the new reciever/transmitter tho, i can control it all and add a few extras on it lol.
so yes youd need a new transmitter/reciever with extra channels, youd need a 360 degree servo,
