Is the savage able to go in water at all or is the just limits as to how much water it can handle???
 
Water is bad for the electronics and the engine. Seal off the electronics, and make sure the engine doesn't get wet. And WD-40 the bearings.
 
I figured. What is the best way to seal the electronics and is splashing on the motor ok or should all water be avoided???
 
Take the servos apart and seal around the contact surface with some good sealant, and get some Green Slime to put around the output. For the receiver and batteries, put it in a water balloon, and tie it tight around the wires.

Splashing on the motor should be ok, but don't let the air filter get wet. One thing that might help, is to make sure the oil filter is well oiled with air filter oil. That should prevent most of the water from getting inside.

I'm currently working on a snorkel design for the air filter, but it's still in the planning stages.
 
The receiver in my savage is in a encolsed box. So would that make a diffrence?
 
Is there a way to make it water tight? Sorry for the dumb questions I'm still pretty new to nitro its been electric and I just flat out kept it away from it...

With some creative engineering, yes, but the switch will still be exposed, ad that could cause problems.

How much water are you planning on running in? Like wet ground, or the neighbors swimming pool?
 
Wet ground shouldn't be too bad. Puddles, stay away from the deeper ones, and when you're done make sure you dry everything off real good. I ran my Speed-NT through some one inch deep puddles, and the only problem I had was the battery box (behind the rear end) filled with water. I ran my Savage in an inch of water, with no negative results, but it wasn't alot, and I checked it over real good after. Spray isn't going to be too bad, as long as you don't submerse it.

Straight runs will keep the front tires from rooster tailing the water under the body. When you turn, you'll shoot water up underneath the body.
 
You can also plasti-dip your servos. I did it on my revo and it worked great. You can find it in the tool section of a hardware store. It's user to recoat tool handles.
