My savy 46 hasn't seen a drop of fuel yet. Do I still need to clean all the parts with nitro cleaner? I have cleaner, I was just wondering if I still needed to use it on a brand new motor...

Clean the whole truck first? Who told you that? No need to...if it's new...well it is already clean. The engine does not really need to be cleaned either...now if you really wanted to you could take the engine and seal it real good before you run it but that is IF you want to. I know several people are going to give me crap for this but I rarely seal a new engine. Only once have I had an air leak from the factory....so up to you really. Is it a must...no not really but a good idea. If you are not breaking the engine down then there is no point in the nitro cleaner either.

I'm sealing it today. I just wanted to see if I should still clean it all as I'm sealing it...

I mean if you really wanted to but I would not think it is too necessary really. Blow it out with compressed air to make sure there is not metal shavings maybe....

Now hury up with that engine seal so you can wait until spring to break it in.....damn. But seriously be sure to let everything to sit at least 24hours at room temp to cure real well before you try to run it.

Ya I'm gonna let it sit for atleast two days... As far as break in I got a big heated barn I'm doing it in...

I always flushed my engines with plenty of nitro to purge any shavings or dust.
