I'd like to hear what others are getting for temps with their .25 motors. Mine is tuned a little on the rich side and I'm getting around 230-250 after a hard run. The ambient temp at the time was around 45 and my elevation is 500ft. I know there's many variables but I'd still like to hear from you .25 owners.

Thanks... :trashed:

I have my Savage25 tuned almost perfect. If anything, a tad on the lean side. Yesterday my engine was hitting about 240-250* using a Raytek MT4 temp gun aimed directly on the glowplug after about 15-20minutes of HARD running. Temp outside was about 50*. I've run the engine a little richer and hit temps around 220-240 without losing much top end. Take your temps right on the glowplug. Run rich for a while to really get that engine broke in, then lean her out. I love my .25 engine, its a beast. I would put it up againts the PICO .26 Outlaw or Wasp.26 any day.

Thanks for the reply. I was just curious. I have been running on the rich side for the engines sake. So far the .25 is a strong and easily tuned engine IMO.

Safe range is betwwen 210 and 270, optimum temps for high speed is between 240 and 270, and optimum temp for off road and hill climbing is between 220 and 250

Thanks again. It seems everyone's running about the same that has replied.
