Hey,
Thanks for checking in for help.
I have had all kinds of issues with my slipper gear. I have installed brand new gear pad spring washer nut clutch upgrades new bell gear and installed to a tee with mfg recommended specs. Tighten all the way and back off 1/2 turn.... All that being sai I tested by hand and could turn the slipper with moderate pressure on drivtrain. Fired it up, drove 50' and started slipin like it didnt have a pad???!!! Can spin it freely with almost no resistance and nut is still tight??? WTF. Anyone got an answer for this?

Backing off a 1/2 turn is too much. 1/8-1/4 max.

I only went 1/4 the last time. If that. I cud barely turn it by hand and I'm not a female pee pee. It was defnately tight enuf to push the truck. Then after a very short trip you could spin it almost freewheelin

Are you re-using the same slipper pad and nut? The pad and plate may be glazed and need scuffed with sand paper. Used nuts are prone to loosening,I use blue loctite on mine.

I put all new parts , pad, gear, spring, nut.... And yes, loctite (blue) new alum clutch shoes new clutch bell new hd differential gears in case one was binding.... I just dont get it. I dropped by this massive hobby store in Plantation, Fl
They have not even looked at it in 5 days. Ill just get a whole new tranny if i can't get a reason.... I need my basher running. We stop everyday on the way across Alligator Alley and bash the crap out of our trucks @ the Micossukee truck stop and it suks not havn my truck in my truck
