Savage XS wheel/tire HELP!

So I officially have a new savage XS SS kit on the way!, and I want to bring it to OC, Maryland and do some sand bashing. Anyway, I need tires.... I'm no noob, but tire/wheel sizes confuse the H**L out of me. So lets see if you can help: I want Proline Sand-paws tires(2.2 size?) and some cheap rims such as these:http://www.hobbypartz.com/51c00-08008n-green.html ..... Will these tires/wheels work on the savage xs? Thanks!!

I am in the same boat as you... I have a used XS on the way and am wondering what rims/tires fit. I did read that if you grind down the lip on the nuts that 12mm hex rims will fit, and that its more stable on SCT tires than stock.

Yea, well I guess I will figure it out when I get it. I'm kind of on a deadline though hahaha

Normal 2.2 tires and rims fit. That's what it was designed for
