anyone know if the picco 28 stock in a savage xl is a big difference then the 5.9? and would i gain that much more power if i was to modd it? i wanted to modd it but i just didnt know if i really had to or is the picco 28 fine the way it is?

Yes it would be a lot better than the 5.9 with out a doubt. Heck the OS I have int he FS section is stronger than the 5.9. Sadly they were not very good engines. They might be "large" but that is the only thing they really have going for them. The modded engines give a good bit more power too. I know ERCM does amazing work.

thats what i been reading up.. i want to have it modded, but i just dont know if i wanna spend the other 125 bucks lol.. so the picco .28 stock still rips good?

Oh yeah...I would say it puts out a bit more power than the LRP .28 but has a bit smoother power. Long life and easy to tune. They turn into a handful when they are modded.
