Savage XL Throttle Servo problem

I bought a new roto-start and 8 new shocks for my savage which arrived yesterday, I've only ever used this car once and on my second time this happerns

I take it for a run up the road, about a quarter of a tank in, I throttle it, it gets to second gear and the throttle just shut off and stops working

If it was to completely fail it would of stuck on open throttle? but it backed its self off and just brought it to an idle?

I've tried everything to thing of what could of caused the failure?

any help?

Just tested it again and all seems to be working fine, problem solved

Keep an eye on it. Mine did the same thing it failed the next time i ran it. So did my neighbor's then my steering servo went next.
