Savage XL DVD Tuning Video

Thanks for everyones help on my Savage. It's running fine; however, I decided to watch the dvd that shows the break-in and tuning procedure. Wow! This is an HPI employee which following the 3 tank break-in, puts this thing on the ground and makes all the final adjustments in about 10 minutes. I was advised to make 1/8 turn adjustments per tank. Is it strange that they never once mentioned temperatures. Whats your feedback on this.

They like to keep it simple for new customers so they don't get discouraged. Remember, when it fails you'll most likely be buying another engine from them.
Take your time, do it right, and it will run really good for a long time.

Watch the Savage XL tuning video in their website. They mention temps on that one. They say to keep it at 230 bit I think thats a little on the cool side imo.
