I was browsing earlier and saw Slicks that would work perfect on the Savage.
I was wondering what kinds of mods would be needed to turn an xl into something that can drift efficiently.

It would be best to not have to modify it in such a way that converting it back would be a daunting task. I have never setup an RC for drifting and appreciate all feedback.

The truck I want to use is a mostly stock XL with a LRP .30 and Ofna 053 pipe.

Thanks

You would need the LCG TVP and suspension kit for starters.

I have looked into these, and I haven't found them for the XL. I spoke to New Era they said they might decide to make some in mid to late summer.

My concerns, when it comes to the conversion, are engine placement, mid tank mod,and LST Big bore conversion.

I guess its time to get a savage x roller instead of modding my xl.

Thanks for the input :)

FLM makes a LCG chassis for the xl.

I see them only thing is they do not use standard rear dogbones, I like to try to keep parts used as close to stock as possible. but if New Era doesn't come out with any this will be my only choice.

Thanks

I have an X roller I might get rid of. The rear dog bones on a FLM chassis are the same. The center rear is differnt but the kit comes with it. Check my photos in my profile. I have a low CG extended with mid tank and LST shocks.
