so i just pulled out my truck for the spring and went to start it up. i put all the needles at factory and started it up. it idles fine when i hit the breaks but then once i release them it starts to move forward at a steady speed. i replaced the clutch shoes, thinking it might be that, but it wasn't. i messed with the idle screw and that didnt help. I started it up again later and kept pulling the breaks and gas over and over to see if i could fix it, and i did for a second, it was sitting still idling, but then started going forward again. anyone know what this might be?

its probley just a matter of tuning if it doesn't sound very smooth and it sounds kinda scratchy i guess it might be taking in to much fuel and you may just need to lean it out less hsn and a little more lsn i had the same problems but i leaned the high speed and made some changes to the low speed as well. see if that works

well its not that i just tried it again and as soon as i start it, it wants to take off like a mad man then as soon as i take the glow plug lighter off it dies. it wasn't doing that an hour ago

and i understand that, and i was going to re tune it but it kept moving forward and now it wont run without the glowplug ignitor, would the factory settings do that?

If it wont work without the ignitor then you have a bad glow plug.

yes it may be a bad glow plug but you need to start at factory setting and use 1/8 turns on the high speed needle. you probley set the lsn in to far or the high speed needle in to far. to help you did the exhaust have a lot of smoke coming out like usual or not when it took off

OUT too far. In is lean, out is rich. Lean the LSN till it will run without the igniter, then set the HSN for performance at higher speeds.
yea but leaning hsn will do the same thing because it will lean the whole mixture out to much which means it would move by itself jumping away from him like he had said and i had then told him that it was to lean when he leaned it because he said that it takes off meaning (to lean!!!!)

my hsn isnt to lean i set it to the factory setting, and i messed with the lsn so thats prob why it wont run without ingnitor, so i will lean out the lsn and try it tomarrow

As you lean the LSN the RPM will pick up. That means you need to lower the idle.
I posted the tuning link in the previous post for a reason.

i just pulled off the air filter and when i hit the breaks it shows the 1mm gap for good idle but when i dont there is a preatty good sized gap like a 1/4th of an inch is that my problem?

Absolutely.
NEVER start a nitro engine till you know everything is adjusted correctly.
Adjust it to the idle opening while the brakes are applied, then start tuning.

absolutly thats my problem? and how do i fix it, what should it be set at

thank you!! one of my screws were loose causing it to be open really wide, i tightened the screw and it put it back to 1mm thanks for your help!
