This thing looks awsome.. I am covinced they spend a lot of time on these forums reading and taking notes as to what we do to them, and what we wished were different.. Thats what I love about HPI.. I think they addressed every issue we have with the truck, and designed some things that will be the future of RC..

The nylon roll bar and engine protection..!! Where did they get that idea from..? A year ago when I designed the plastic cage I said "it wont be long before a major manufacture uses plastic as the protection for their trucks".

You tell me, do these look alike at all...???

I would bet the farm that the radio box isnt gonna fit on version 1... I will even bet that nothing is interchangable..other than a few things.. not the stuff that we would want...
 
they clam most all of it is.
exept for a few items like the trans case and you can't use the old spurs on it

wow. that thing looks sweet. how do you make a savage tougher then it already is? my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Yo u gotta love the new ability to remove the diffs by only having to remove a couple of screws. Alot easier than how it is now.
 
Alrighty... where shall I send the farm too...? LOL

The reason I said that is because even the bulk head to TVP is different.. The screw goes in on the bottom, and not the top like ours.. Then the TVP is not nearly the same.. Its cut out at the top of the tranny so it can be pulled out strait up....

But I would prefer that it does interchange.. I would love to access my diffs with 6 screws..

I will be all over the following compatible parts:

Transmission Case (easier to remove)
Differential Housings* (front and rear)(easier to remove)
Suspension Arms (lighter)
Radio Box (easier access)
Savage X Chassis Plates* (lowered CG)

Man i had a project truck going but i may have to sell it and buy one of these, that thing looks awesoem, i love all the changes i think its even better than the 4.6 SS kit. HPI really did a great job this time! Hey SKIP I'm sorry to interup this thread but please check your PM's i have been trying very hard to reach you and can't E-mail you. Theres that catch... I see so much differences on every part, I just can't see how parts are interchangable.. The TVPs for one will not be just bolting on without buying "* May require a few extra parts for conversion"... Hahah
 
I'm not sure its a good move (for them) to release the Savage X and the Hellfire around the same time. Yeah, they are 2 different trucks...just think its bad timing on their part.

Now..about the X....very interesting!!!!
 
i think i'm in love...
i was thinking of getting the hellfire, but i might have to push that back and get this one first... any care for a used savage? hehe
