Hey guys.... Bought a new savage a few weeks ago and decided to fire it up and put it through the break in cycle...after a tank of gas and a bit i drove it around the driveway..[ couldent wait..lol].. after some idling around i gave it more fuel and went onto the lawn which had a dusting of snow on it...this thing worked crazy...blew me away. After we finished i took it to the garage and blew the snow dust off with a air compressor and put it away. went out today and she wont go. Took the glow plug out and tried it in the igniter and it turns bright...tried priming it..even took the fuel line off at the carb and primed to see if it was pumping...at the end i removed the tank...lines...and blew out to make sure there wasent something blocking it..tried different glow plugs..checked for flooding...took plug out and cranked it over, tried it again and nothing....charged my igniter and tried again...nothing. Could i have got something wet in the snow that is causing it not to start...please help!

Are these hard to start in 40-45deg temps..It has been left in the garage...it is heated but only to 40-45.

Yes,cold temps make them difficult to start. You can make it easier by using a hair-dryer to warm it up before starting it.

First though,is 1 tank all you have done for break-in? You need to make sure you do a complete/proper break-in or your joy will be short lived with that engine.

I agree on the break in period..I may have screwed up a bit..i did idle it for 1 tank and part of the 2nd then only drove it for maybe 5 min in a dusting of snow on part throttle and a few full throttle blast... haven't ran sense!
