savage x vs x ss

I'm wanting to know if there is anything stronger on the ss truck than on the x rtr. I'm probably going to get the rtr b/c I'm new and i have any of the electronics. i have plenty of machanic ability and know if i get the kit i will have to buy the tools and the electronics, but , I'm going to be bashing the truck so i figure ill have to buy the tools anyway. Second , what hop-ups are almost a must on a new rtr(savage x).

Hey is that the 4.6. If it is its a tough truck. Most of the hop-ups I have put on have been for looks not necessity. Although a tuned pipe was a nice performance piece.

-3 speed transmission gives 10% more torque and 10% more top end
-tuned pipe give a better performance
And some of the stuff listed is for renforcing the driveline...no not a necessity but sure is a good thing to know if u want to upgrade your truck.JMO
