Ok, so I have a Savage X and it is currently running the 3 speed gears in the tranny. It also came with the 2 speed cluster. Is changing back and forth as simple as changing out the cluster, or are there also gears that need to be changed out in the lid of the tranny too?
 
The drive gears attached to the input shaft will have to be changed out to match the 2 speed, these gears have a different tooth count than the three speed.
 
Do you happen to know if the factory setting in the 3 speed for the 1-2 shiftpoint is 4 1/2 turns out? (same as the factory setting on the 2-3 shiftpoint)
