Hi all I got myself a few savages for the summer. 3 as a matter of fact. All 4.6 x. two of them run great and the other is fully functional but in pieces:-( my question is why does my ass end sit so low? One mogul has 8 shocks on it and the other has big bores but they both sit really low. They big bores ate even lower then piggy backs! How can I get them to si nice and high

Could be soft springs or light oil in the shocks.

I run two stock shocks on all four corners on both of my Savages and I like the rear to be alittle stiffer than the front. I use 60wt oil in the rear and 45wt in the front.

I would rebuild the shocks and find a setup that works good for you.

Here is a link to some shock covers, the guy is in Canada but he ships quick and the covers work well. "Its nice to keep your shocks clean after a rebuild."

The truck with the blue shock covers is my 4.6 SS, the green ones are on my 4.1, I love my shock covers :)

Also make sure you have spacers at the top of the shocks to put more tension on the springs...
