i was gonna say, i dont have reverse on mine either.. just know where your going and you dont need a reverse :P

???

Sorry to be a little off topic but how does the reverse work with the third servo. I know there's a extra mixer and what not but the physical mounting on the kit and servo and such.

I'm actually curious myself especially with that mixer thing. Is the mixer used to control the reverse function with the existing 2 channel transmitter? I used to own a tmaxx 3.3 and I kinda like the control for the reverse. So if i upgrade to a 3 channel transmitter and a 3 channel reciever, i dont need the mixer? But just like Mineverun09 and snowking said, just know where you want to go and you'll have tons of fun.

the third servo will mount next to the steering servo and with the mixer when you press and hold the break for so many seconds (i believe 9seconds) and will trigger the servo to engage the reverse modual then the same to go back to forward.
had to mess with the servo arm to get it set up properly.

also if you have the 3 channel setup you will not need the mixer

I have the S-25 and upgraded to the 3-speed and the reverse module. Since I have the 3-channel radio you simply come to a complete stop, flip the third channel switch, and back up. While it's always best to keep line of sight and no where you're going, it's inevitible that you'll eventually get stuck somewhere and need to back up. I use it at least once each bash session...

I'm hoping to upgrade to a 2.4 radio soon and I'll definitely want to get a 3-channel model so I don't have to worry about the mixer (another $40)...

HTH...

If you say the engine fires up, or seems to fires up, and granted that you already have trimmed the idle, low speed and high speed needle, try this and see if it works, before starting the engine, increase your throttle trim on the transmitter just a little, enough to see the servo arm move a bit and adjust accordingly until it starts and build up engine speed. Make sure that you do not turn the throttle trim too much. Once it's running, try to see if you can make the truck run and go for a single pass. If you are able to make a pass and engine temp is okay, lower down the throttle trim and hopefully you can enjoy driving. If the engine stops as soon as you lower the throttle trim, the engine may not have reached proper temp yet or you may need to adjust your idle needle. It's also a good idea to double check your glow plug. Engine flooding is caused by insufficient or incorrect mixture of air pressure and fuel in the engine chamber. Or maybe a bad glow plug. I recommend reading a bit on engine tuning here https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60832&highlight=Flooded+engine
Very helpful steps there. Good luck. Happy bashing. :D

Lean the hsn a half turn or so as well. This will help the engine to not load up as easily. As always, watch for a good smoke stream and keep a close eye on the temps.
