savage x 4.6 not getting fuel?

when i prime my 4.6 to start it, the carberator isn't getting any fuel. When i take the gas line off the carb, and prime it, the fuel flows perfectly, but when i put it back on, it doesn't flow. What is the problem??
 
Is it new? Either the carb is clogged, or the idle setting needs to be opened. See if the fuel flows while you crank it and hold the throttle trigger.
 
Sounds like a carb problem to me as well. When you get it working I suggest you put an in line fuel filter on the fuel line ASAP to keep this from happening again.
