Savage X .25 acting up

I recently got a savage x 25 used and have been going through it slowly,the motor seems to be great then wont run at all,and starts hard.i think i have the needles set up good a lil rich but runs nice when it stays running.Could this be a problem with seling in the motor?I heard the front bearings arent all that great and the rear cover on the engine seems old and worn out.LMK what ur thought are on this,Thanx,Tim :\

Have you replaced the glow plug since you got this savage?

yup i sure did went with a #8 and a new airfilter
