Savage Work Stand Tutorial

This isn't my idea, but it's a good cheap one. I think it cost me about $10 for materials. There is no glue, all the parts fits together tightly.

What you need:
10ft 1/2" PVC pipe (You should have some leftover, for me, it comes in a 10ft stick, and is cheaper than buying per foot)
12 T-fittings
4 90 degree fittings

Optional parts:
4 End caps
7" pipe insulation

With a hacksaw or a PVC cutter, cut yourself four 8.5", four 4", four 3.5", and eight 1.5" pieces. If you are using end caps, cut an additional four 1.5" pieces.

Use the pictures below to assemble. All seams are fitted with the 1.5" pieces. When complete, use a rubber mallet or a 2x4 to pound everything tight, and you can twist as needed to make sure it is straight.

Nice write up. I built a stand really close to yours. It works great. Also nice looking savage.

Nice job! Now add four end caps and throw some paint on it, or better yet spray it with bed liner or some other high-traction product (plasti-dip spray?) and you'll be good to go!

I'll be building one of these, as well as wall storage once I get my shed in a few weeks!

Still considering the end caps, as I see it, they aren't really necessary, so I didn't add them. As far as high-traction is concerned, it's not really needed, it doesn't move back and forth very easily.
