I'm reletively new at Nirto Rc, and i Just purchased a Savage about a week ago. I've been breaking it in (just finished my 5th tank) but then i messed around with the throttle and made it run a little more lean cuz everytime i gave it gas it bogged. My problem is now it won't start at all. I've been working on it for a day and can't get it. I dont know if its a problem with the throttle, idle, or maybe its running too rich/lean. I really need some help. Also I know its not the glow plug, glow plug ignitor, or the battery.

Do you have the 4.1 engine in it? Try setting your needles back to factory.

Also, do you have compression (is the piston moving)? You may have stripped the gears in the rotostart or the one-way bearing in the rotostart may have blown.

yea i have the 4.1 engine and i just set the needles back to factory. it sounds like its trying to but it just can't. how can i check compression? I'm gonna go check the rotostart.

No, the rotostarts fine and i think the compressions good too. i think its just the fuel air mixture+ the way i have my throttle set up

What are you trying to check for? What plug? What fuel are you using? What percentage fuel? Are you still breaking it in? Have you set the carb gap?

Remember when you tune it for speed, you have to have the gap set, then your hsn then lsn. After that you still may have to adjust the Idle.

Please give us more info.

I'm using blue thunder 20% and I'm almost done breaking it in. I just finished my fifth tank and I'm going to seven. I put everything at the recommended in the manual but I'm almost positive i found the problem. I think i fouled the glow plug, so I'm gonna go get a new one tomorro. also, while I'm at the hobby place ill ask em how to not foul em since this is my second one fould

Fouled glow plugs are just a part of break in.
Some times It takes one.Other times you can go through 6 or more...Thats nitro for ya!

Ahh yes... The plug. I have gone through those times. Break in can do that. I have been luck y enough to go further witha plug after break in but whenI start seeing erratic behavior then I just get change it out.

just curious,

why did you specificly say you knew it was not the glow plug or igniter at first?
when afterward you checked the glow plug & now say its fouled?

yea, cuz it was brand new and i didnt think that was the problem. It fouled within the first half an hour so i didint think it was that, thanks for the help!
