I found a 3 speed w reverse for 75 bucks is this a good deal or is reverse gonna rip out my gears like it did on my tmaxx

the reverse on the savage is different. it doenst use the built in clutch like the maxx does. i never had a problem with the reverse on my savage.
75 for three speed AND reverse.. i think thats pretty good. if its the new trans case.

Reverse isn't worth it IMO....Who really wants to go backwards?!
You need another servo and you might needs 3 channel radio if you don't already have one...you can still strip the gears if you are not carefull.

the reverse is good for bashers, sometimes your truck ends up against something or in a bush, its easyer to flip a switch and back out then to run all the way across wherever your bashing to get it and turn it around. the reverse in the savage is a lot more solid then the maxx.
you dont need a 3 ch. HPI sells a mixer that allows you to use a 2ch radio.
