I have a chance to trade my savage for a traxxas slash vxl RTR with rpm upgrades, i havent seen pictures of the truck yet, my savage is stock except fro the aluminum arms on the back, is it worth it? Is the slash a good electric truck?
 
The slash is a great truck IMO, and I think others will second that. Is this the 4x4 version? The VXL power system is also great for a factory setup, again IMO.
 
yes its 4x4, he has 1 lipo battery with it with no charger, he is sending pictures of it, i love the savage,but was wanting to find a merv to trade it for, ill let you guys know what happens, once i get pictures of it ill know more about what i am going to do. I dont know if he has the stock batteries and charger or not, i just dont want to spend a fortune getting everything i need to run it.
 
which savage is it.. i have a merv with a lipo lol mini merv brushless is like new

Maybe, maybe not. I stopped running nitro in the cars and trucks about three years ago. Haven't missed it not one time since.
 
I went to electric 3 times and always went back to nitro lol. I had a emaxx brushless, erevo brushless, savage flux, and a few slash 4wds theyre fun but too quiet lol
 
i have a tmaxx i can fall back to if i miss them, but your right i will miss it but I'm moving up to 1/5 scale and electric, the baja makes plenty of noise.
 
I can't hold my tongue any longer... The only two things people that like nitros can say is they like the sound and smell. Not more power, more speed or ease of use. :p yes I like nitro but dont run em anymore.

I'm moving to electric for the ease of use, i like to be able to go out and actually have fun with my daughter instead of working on a tune for 1/2 hour.

No its just funny to me. The only "perks" are stuff that means nothing or gains nothing. Thats all I meant. I know u know as well as I do if u want to lose run a nitro against an electric and all u will smell is nitro and a loss :)
 
i think nitro is rewarding.. i guess thats why i like it so much.. cause theres so many different things u can do to make a nitro engine perform at its best. clutching, pipes, engine sizes, different fuels.. and more.. i think its more rewarding then just plugging in a battery and turn it on.. u actually have to find that right tune and sweet spot and it feels good when ur there.. i like electric.. theyre fast and fun, but i just like nitro more.. to me its just feels good.. I'm a 2 stroke guy, i like dirt bikes and 4 wheelers and i like the sound a 2 stroke makes, the smoke and the smell.. everything about it just puts a smile on my face lol.. i guess thats just how i am.. nothing bad about electric.. just my personal preference.. if ur gonna get an electric tho.. id try to get either a emaxx brushless or a savage flux.. those are my 2 favorite ones.. if i ever go back to electric i def want to get a flux again.. it was a good one..
