Hey all,
One of my buddy wanted me to get him a used savage and i found a SS. Everything is good there is lots of compression the spurs not chewed or anything the only thing wrong is the Steering Servo is messed up. It does not want to turn right the whole way. Pretty much turns left more that right. Y is that and is there a way to fix it or do i need to get a new servo for it? Also what else shouldi be looking at when buying used. ?
THanks

If the gears in the servo arent stripped, you could take the horn off and move it a few notches in the direction you are loosing travel. Someone could have adjusted it wrong, or, if it slipped on its own, the gears are probably stripped. If the latter is the case, you can get new gears (a rebuild kit) for the servo. HTH
