Savage SS radio gear?

is their any specific on the type of radio you have to have to put into the thing? i was looking at them today at the lhs and they had a pretty nice looking futaba for like 89 bucks. But, for instance, could i use this:

and what else would i need besides like batteries, what would you suggest?

The MX3 is the better of the 2 listed there.You could also look at the JR radios.I would try to find a kit without the servos since your going to need to get better ones no matter what.This is the one I use and it's great!!

For servos your going to need at least a Hitec 645MG for steering.I use a Hitec 945MG for steering and I use a Hitec 525MG for throttle/brake.

what is the diff. between the 945 and 645? so i should order the hitec945 and hitec525

The torque and speed are different.The 645 is fine but it was to slow for me.The 945 is faster but it cost slot more than the 645.I'd go with the 645 and the 525 for the best cost/performance balance.
