Okay

I was playing around with my Savage today and thought it was time to put the Radar gun on it to see what speed I was hitting.
Well after a few warm up runs and a minor needle adjustment
the best I could get out of my bone stock SS Savage was 28 miles per hour and before I put the gun on it I thought it was going pretty fast LOL.
I guess thats why it seems so slow after I run my 80 mile an hour
hydro.
What speed is everyone else hitting.

During the Hampton roads bash earlier this spring. EP clocked my stock savage 25 around 26-28mph. That was with the stock 15T CB and T-maxx size tires. Killahbz had his savage clocked around the same thing, but he did hit 30mph on one run. He was also stock and was running with the 15T CB. But he was running w/ the Big Joe tires, so I guess the larger diameter tire might have given him the extra mph.

But if you really want some speed, you should check out the touring cars.

Thanks Liquid but I will stick to my boats for speed they are fast enough ,the truck is just for bashing and to teach my son the co ordination needed for racing boats .

:OMG:
Blasphemous misuse of the savage. Savage is meant to be loved and beaten to death, not to be used as a cross trainer for boats. :boxing:

Don't worry Buncrana.
We love the Savage and we are definately beating it to death ,
my son (who is only five) has flipped it rolled it and smashed into everything possible and it just keeps on going.
My only fear is that he may like the truck more than boat racing :devious: .

... as he should! :D

I just bought my savage ss on Friday night. Built it, started breaking in the engine close to 3, Saturday afternoon. Going from my XXX-NT to this, I'm already lovin it! Not that I dont like the stadium truck... Plan on gettin a Drake 2, FR12 and more come january, but MTs... well, There just somethin else!

No longer will my truck be the one being ran over at the track! ... when we're just runnin for fun. Gotta step up with the big boys.

Hey Tim.
Got any of that 60% nitro kicking around? That will make that baby scream.

PS .......... Does your Sport 21 tunnel boat really do 80 mph? LMAO

My REVO hit 43 the other day, fast as snot for a MT. I had to richen it a little as I would not run that lean for very long. That is stock everything by the way.

I wish I did ,the boats are now put away for the winter.
I could use something to look at to get me through untill spring .

I would like to see a car that will do like 60MPH, cause seeing a Savage 21 doing about 30MPH is awesome.....nevermind a car doing twice that speed.

My Savage 25 was clocked by a radar box at 43MPH  . Guess I was running extremly lean.

havnt clocked mine but does most definatly go faster then the savage 25's I'm running the hyper 21.... onroad mine could probably pull about 45-50 I'm sure

That is a realistic speed for a Savage.
For those who think they are going a lot faster may I suggest having your truck radared you will be amazed.
My freind has an Inferno with an eight port Novarossi and he is barely hitting 50 mph.
