How Do You Make A Stock Savage Into A Good Racer? Is It Possible? By The Sounds Of It They Suck For Racing.

put shock limiters inside the shocks to lower it down, get LCG (low center of gravity) TVP's, good racing tires, such as 40 series bowties, good racing engine, good strong steering servo, I'm sure theres others.

the savage is more of a basher but u could make it a racer. I'm more of a basher than a racer so i dont know what u wuld need tho...........................

I would watch yourself sayin the Savage sucks for racing. :argue:

Try doing some searching and you'll find the info you need.

I raced my savage some and have done extensive research on how to make a savage into a racer.

1st: 40 series bowties or mashers, whatever suits ur track
2nd: good motor, i have been running the xtm 247 pro, and this is an awsome engine, i dont think i even ever want to test out a different motor for the track.
3rd: Better steering servo: Try to get a 945 mg hitec servo, with a reciever battery pack
4th: Suspension: Whatever suits ur track, i have heard that 20 wt-30 wt, all 8 shocks, no limiters and maybe blue or green springs. Since u live in Winsconsin, i am takin a guess ur tracks are a little bumpy, so i would say 20 wt with green springs.
5th: Cam type servo saver: i have never had one and never needed one, but this will help out in the steering department along with the upgraded steering bearings.
6th:LCG TVPS: i have never tried a savage with these so i do not know, but suppose to be awsome, but will most likely put ur truck in the unlimited or outlaw class at the bigger races, u may be able to get away with it at ur local track.

Good Luck!!!
