I want to know everyones opinion on what is better a savage top of the range or a T max 3.3 and most importantly why!! many thanks in advance :bowtothercnt:

If I were to choose again, I would have went with the Savage. The T-maxx handles better, but is not even close to as durable as the savage.

While their costs initially will be about the same, the savage will cost you much much less in the long run. The savage is a super durable truck, while the tmaxx is....well.....a money pit!

savage. my friends sat over a year in his garage we fueled it up and fired up right away. its more of a monster truck 1/8th scale compared to t max 1/10.

No offence to the t-maxx racer basher out there but...i agree with v12revo :dancin:

Hands down, I vote the savage. I have had both, and while the T-Maxx was fun, it went thru parts constantly. Engine mounts, spurs, drive shafts, bulkheads, and tie rod ends.

I sold it and bought a savage, and haven't broken anything other than a spur gear, engine mount (stripped it, so it really doesn't count), and rims (the stock rims are too soft.. I'm still running the MGT tires I got from Woodie; they are really awesome tires).

The newer X rendition of the truck is super easy to work on. On average, 6 screws, and you can get at the majority of the drive train. Any other part is not many more screws than that. And you get a big block engine right out of the box.

The t-maxx on the other hand; small block engine (even the 3.3 is a mid-block), and it takes on the order of about 16 screws average to get at the majority of the drivetrain.

Plus, HPI is a really great customer support company.

You know I'm tired of hearing that the savage is the toughest but it can't handle. my savage would totally blow you away then. I would get the Savage bro.

the owner of ultimatetoys said the tmaxx is stronger then the savage:jason:

then the owner of ultimatetoys either has to many tmaxx's & want to sell them to people who dont know better,... or he has not driven both trucks
