Hey guys can you tell about some of the must have mods for the savage....pics would be great . Throw some ideas out their for some of us nubees.. any type of homemade ideas are great too

just search through the forums.... and from what I am reading from your other post you have a Savage 25..... upgrades.. I say nothing... you got yourself a good truck.... if anything just change your pipe... that's all.. the Savage 25 is already upgraded with all HPI best parts... I personally think it is better than the SS by one item.. the 3 shoes clutch... but then again the SS comes with a better pipe... I say only replace when you break it... don't go spending money on other stuff.. the 25 is well built

There's plenty of after market mods out there. There's also many mods to beef up the truck. One being the 4 spider diff mod. Parts for this mod will run you about $45.00.

I'm relatively new to the Savage as well. Here's a pic of the aluminum tie rods I made tonight.

Nice work.
have you thought about selling them?
let me me know if you do.
Cheers...

Agree with TRD... The .25 is pretty much set. All other mods are merely cosmetic if you ask me. Aluminum arms and shock towers? Looks pretty. I have yet to bend my tie rod, but that titanium looks nice. I have one titanium item on my truck and that's the rear center driveshaft. Only had titanium at the LHS at the time and I couldn't stand not driving my truck. You can get a fuel filter and spare glow plugs.

The only thing I would say is 1/2 necessary is air filter, fuel filter, and MAKE SURE YOUR STARTER BACK PLATE IS TIGHT WITH LOCKTITE.

The only thing I would say is air filter, fuel filter, AND MAKE SURE THE STARTER BACK PLATE IS TIGHT WITH LOCKTITE. Learned that last one from experience.
