Okay well i have a Savage X with a LRP Z.28R Spec3. i dont have a temp gun yet I'm getting one tomorrow but i have been noticing that the truck leans out. i try to make sure its richer rather than too lean, but when i shut the truck off i put a bit of spit on the head and it sizzles, it doesn't sizzle madly and its gone on contact, but the spit does evapourate pretty fast. i have heard that some motors go leaner as the tank empties. I'm just wondering if this is normal and if this can be bad and is there any way to prevent this. Its bothering me and I'm very paranoid when riding the truck. if anyone has any tips or if anyone knows if this is normal comment, thanks

Oh and another reason i think it goes leaner is because as the tank empties when i pull the throttle wide open is studders as if it was too lean. i dont think its too lean because i have it almost at factory settings and i dont think its too rich cause i have leaned it out a little bit.

sounds like your having a case of the half tank lean issue. i would suggest doing a mid tank mod, ofna tank mod, or a header tank. try a longer fuel line from the tank to the carberator.

to me it sounds like its too rich

No, it is NOT too rich. It is slightly lean, and then tends to lean out at half tank. That's not uncommon.
ibanez830, run it till it gets down to 1/2 tank, then retune it at that point.
You will need to let it warm up a little when starting cold, but when it's up to temp, you should get good performance through the whole tank.

Okay ill try that and see what happens, thanks for the help

Yeah thats what I've been doing, i got a temp gun so when it stops raining here ill go check the temp when the tank is almost empty, thanks for the help guys
