I'm looking for a savage or T maxx kit to throw together over the summer, the reason i want a kit is because i already ahve the electronics that i need, and i would just want to get a nice engine and use that with it. but all i can find are RTRs , does anyone know where to get just a kit ?

Get in line...a kit is something that has been suggested and asked for, for both kits. Neither company has released a kit for these trucks.

that sux you think that would be the first thing they would come out with well maybe both i dont know:doh:

buy the trannies and diffs off ebay, then buy all the aluminum stuff to go with it, then u will have a kit to build..

depends on how much aluminum parts you want.. aka shocks are 100+

CVDs 25x2+22=72$ in drive shafts

wheels tires 100$

aluminum suspention 200 easy

TVPs of your choice.. 50-100

engine 130-500

i was just stating if u want a show truck or what ever it is less than buying one, takign it apart, tryign to sell the extra not used parts, and buying all the pieces u want..

all i can say is watch ebay for the parts u will need, radio box, trannies, diff sections, the rest u can get in aluminum if u look around long enough..

if u want one to just bash or race minus aluminum buy a used one off ebay for 300ish... or 500 ish with bigger engine..

e bay .... riiiiiiiiiiight , i forgot about that ... yeah I'm just looking for one to drive on the beach and over poop

Supernitro17,

If thats all your looking for, I would strongly suggest not going the way CRSMP5 mentioned. As you will QUICKLY rack up some cash into it. When it sounds to me that stock Savage will do you just fine, even with some hop-ups it's gonna be cheaper then going the other route.

yeah I'm just going to go stock , if i do it at all , i might just end up getting a nitro rush or something to screw around with on the beach and on hills around my house. nothing real major. i just like the aspect of the high ride and 4wd. i think it would be good for sand.
