my savage is got issues, I broke the antenna off about 5 inches for the rx in a race early last saturday well it was fine I ran the whole day like that, at the end of the day I started it and it reved high like I had no signal and twitched, got home soldered the wire and all fresh batteries well it barely turns and when I turn it makes the throttle go only ehwn the engine is running I havent had a problem like this in 5yrs I've been doing this, its like the signalfrom my steering is lost and like I said I ran with the broken wire the whole day w/ no problem! please help

off the wall answer but i had same symptoms when i pinched one of the servo leads in the savage radio box putting it back togehter. prolly already checked em but make sure servo leads are not crimped/pinched in there.

I am taking it that you have no failsafe.. get one. If you have a failsafe and for any reason the signal or battery strength diminish the failsafe kicks in and it gives you FULL brakes. Get a throttle return spring if you don't have one yet. Either replace the wire or upgrade the reciever or the whole radio system. Never try and "see if it really is bad", it turns bad when you least expect it.
