So i recently ordered a savage x 4.6 about 3 weeks ago. literally when i got it in the mail the very first thing that came to mind was "hot bodies" i instantly started looking every day on google for hot bodies UFO wheels. After about 2 weeks of looking i gave up on looking for UFO's.

About a week later i was looking again for about 2 days on google and ebay searching for tons of different search descriptions and the only lead to these wheels was RC planet. they only had 1 pair of hot bodies revolution wheels. I looked on google images and said ill take em. then literally searching up the revolutions i could not find another pair and thought i would just end up having 1 pair of these wheels and never find another. But some how i eventually came across a bran new pair on ebay for 34 dollars. instantly made my week.

I just love the size of these wheels. they are amazing and i love the look.. everything about these wheels are perfect in my opinion. I just dont think a savage is a savage with out hot bodies wheels.

Moving on i also ordered a hump battery pack on ebay for about 24 dollars that came with the charger, a connector that plugs into faster chargers witch i have so that worked out nicely, and ofcourse the 1400 MAH battery pack. I kind of wanted a higher MAH but at the time i was on a budget.

what came out of the box

Took this out

the connector for the battery pack actually had a connector for the receiver and for the connector for the battery pack but the connector for the receiver was useless because the on/off switch was hardwired to it so i decided to change that connector with the original battery packs connector so i can just use the port hole on the battery lid for quick easy charges.

then some double sided tape to keep it steady in there when bouncing around.

Then for the rubber piece on the battery lid just slit that but i couldnt find my exacto knife handle so had to do it this way.

And thats it for now. The other pair of wheels are on their way so I'm excited to see that fed ex truck pull to my drive way and drop them off.

Next upgrade forsure going to get maybe the 255 oz turning servo cuz i know the stock one is going to take a beating with these on this truck. But for now I'm very happy and i now feel like i own a savage. Ever since i had my first nitro rc t maxx my friend had a savage with truckzilla kit and that was like a real savage to me. so i just think these wheels finish the look right.

Let me know what you guys think !! :D:D:D:D:D:)

Thanks ! yeah they are HUGE... and wide and lift the truck up alot. i can't wait for the next pair and I'm just happy they are bran new. you can tell from the packaging the plastic covering them is old and been sitting on a shelf for quite awhile. I always like to think of it like this. those wheels have been sitting on that shelf all this time to eventually be on my truck haha i d k why but i always think of it like that.

They look good man, will look better when they all match. Definetely gives a wider more aggressive look to the truck. Seems to be worth all that hassle you went through afterall huh?

Yes after all the looking around and sometimes just nearly pulling my hair out, it ended up being very worth it. I think they use the same rubber used for car tires.. when i opened up the packaging it literally smelled like when your looking at new tires for your car and that certain smell you know ? and the compound is a hard compound so i know the tires will last so I'm glad about that cuz i really like the tread on these tires. now I'm just hoping by tuesday or wednesday they arrive !!

*EDIT* Also, whats your opinion on this steering servo ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/23034957546...AX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_991wt_1185 I just really want to make my next purchase a higher oz servo. i mean literally ... 4 of these wheels is 8 more LBS on this truck and i dont even know if the servo will be able to handle it. Is there another servo that i should consider ? or will this one do the job ? and I'm assuming this servo will eat up more energy right ? i know i got this battery back but I'm sure it will eat enough power for it to last about the length of the stock battery pack.

lemme know.

thanks !!

You might check out Hobbypartz.com and see if they have a cheap alternative. I have bought a few different items from them with good results and good products. State side and they have the very "cheap" prices!

ok this may sound dumb but your lid clips how do you guys make them like that??? I have looked at the pics but can't quite figure it out..

Oh nice truck by the way and as soon as you get a custom top on there she will be even more personal

Thanks, basically i had extra vacuum like that i had for my car. and had zip ties and you just zip tie all the clipse just tighten it around it so you have the tail just kind hanging off. Then cut the vacuum line or fuel line witch ever you like to use. and slide it on there the right length and then you have to sacrifice some zip ties and cut the heads off and just put the head over the line and then cut the excess tail off and you got and easy way to pull them off.. especially for HPI body clips i had to do this because they were soo stiff i could only take them off with plyers so this is a must in my case.

and for the shell I'm probably going to maybe get a clear stock body because i dont really like many after market bodies just the stock ones in my opinion are nice. and just try to do some sort of design with it. Havent painted a body in years but i still have my air brush i guess i should practice again.

*EDIT* if i didnt explain it that well i can take photos of the process.

Welcome !!

Got my other pair!!!

looks great

Thank you

I hope you have better luck with them than i did.

I think i heard about yours.. were you the one with the hub that stripped inside the wheels or the spokes broke or maybe neither of those and something else.

I mean they seem really good quality but i can imagine them maybe actually bending turnbuckles alot easier than usual. maybe upgrade the buckles and forsure the servo.

But yeah what exactly happend to you ? and witch model did you have ? originally i was going to get the UFO's but from looking i saw alot of them breaking because of how narrow the spokes are at the hubs they break easy. these on the other hand is alot of meat at the hub hopefully they hold.

ahh that would suck.. I'm hoping that doesn't happen because these took forever to find. i spent like 2 days just searching tons of different ways to look for the wheels and i got the last pair that rc planet had and same time i got those ebay happen to have a bran new pair for sale aswell. havent seen another bran new pair online since. i know rc planet does have one pair of the slayers but thats all they had and i couldnt find anywhere else that sold another pair.

if they did strip i would literally take the 17mm supplied with the truck orr another 17 mm bolt and heat it up red hot and just gently push it in there ha cuz if they strip its like might as well try lol. but yeah I'm hoping nothing happens.

Thanks thats awesome. well maybe later on if i have that issue ill paypal you some money for them.

THANKS!

I'm thinking about getting a stock body lid but clear. idk why but I've looked all over and i dislike most of the aftermarket bodies.. the shapes. the color schemes.. so maybe just a clear body and try painting again.. its been awhile since i painted so it might be iffy ha.

*BUMP*

Ok I've made some more money and I'm looking at exhaust pipes. I'm interested something thats titanium. Everywhere i look though i can't find a titanium one, and i like to hear them as well so when i look on youtube all i see is just the RD style exhaust and I'm not interested in those at all.

If i can't find a Titanium one i guess ill look into carbon fiber ones. Ill continue to look around on google but until then input is greatly appreciated!!
