Guys, as some of you may know from my recent posts, I'm just getting back in after a three year break. Anyway, I got the MT2 and RS4 Evo fired up weeks ago and no issues with either one.

Now that I'm on vacation this week I wanted to get the Savy out and tuned up/cleaned up and running.

I pulled it off the shelf and removed the tank to clean the bit of sludge on the bottom. I don't know if my brake cleaner did it or it was just from sitting, but the tank lid's o-ring will not allow the lid to seal, so I have an air leak there that won't even allow fuel to get to the carb.

I did some searching here (nothing) and elsewhere and all I found was that aparently HPI doesn't sell the o-ring separately and the one or two online places I found that offered them offered regular black 0-rings and not the orange fuel safe style.

Anyone ever found a good replacement, preferrably local big-box place I might have access to? I'll be back at my lhs Friday to pick up some Savy X parts I'm adding to my S-25 and will check there too.

Thanks!:)

Mark

I sprayed it into the tank to clean it and held the lid open with my finger as I shook it up and then dumped it out. There's no doubt a little got on it, but it didn't soak in it. The truck DID sit for almost three years, so I have a feeling that's more the issue and the brake cleaner certainly didn't help any...

Have you tried auto parts stores or maybe true-value? My local true value store has a whole section of nuts, bolts, hexes, and washers and o rings and stuff like that I usually hit that for something I dont have on hand or can't get to the hobby shop for.
