Ok so me and heartbreak were out bashing today and his savvy was running really lean then he found the shock screw actually punctured the fuel tank. I looked at mine and its about to do the same! So flip your screws around before its to late lol. I'm sure some of you already knew this. That is all.
 
yep seen it happen a few times, its harder to put on that way, but will save your tank!
 
Its not to bad. Remove your fuel tank and you can get right to it with a small hex tool. The one on the engine side would be hard to flip i will admit that.


I also have punctured a fuel line with those bolts too.
 
Somehow, I think my tank might have a slight air leak....

This happened after a pretty good jump. The engine shot from 210F to 311F degrees.

Think it'll buff out?
 
yep, no backpressure on the tank... I've also seen the screw on the engine side puncture the header. its amazing those shock towers flex that much and dont break.
 
I have also put a have put a hole through the tank that way too but less chance of it happening. With the fuel line, try running it through the lower portion of the shock tower away from any pinch area
