What is the best possible engine that I could put in my savage 25? I mean best in price, speed, torque, horsepower, tuneability etc.?

But what about price? See I have a new axial .28 spec1 s. How do they compare?

I got one of my 2 OS .30vg that i got for 50-60$ on ebay.

But at the store mine is 249.99:

SPECS: Displacement: 0.298 cu in (5.0cc)
Bore: 0.728" (18.5mm)
Stroke: 0.717" (18.2mm)
Practical RPM: 4,000-36,000
Power Output: 3.0 ps/28,000 RPM

your Axial 129.99:

SPECS: Displacement: .28 cu in (4.6cc)
Maximum RPM: 36,000
Bore: 18.6mm
Stroke: 16.9mm
Weight: 455g (16.05oz)

Ya i know the OS is expensive but i like the power i get out of it, the rpm on both are pretty much the same so
i think your engine is a better buy.

Really? hm, I love my engine but there has to be something a litle more high performance... isn't there? Would a bigger engine give me more torque and top end or just torque?

The axial .32
SPECS: Displacement: .32 cu in (5.2cc)
Maximum RPM: 34,000
Bore: 19.5mm
Stroke: 17.5mm
Weight: 450g (15.87oz)for not even 40-50 bucks more than your .28. Or wait till the K5.9 engine(from the Savage XL) comes out...now we will talk POWER!!!

I bought it with the engine on 'er. I was thinking of upgrading. hm 5.9? Thats pretty big. So thats the fastest most torque engine that you can think of, thats not going to break the bank? Of course I can't wait till it comes though.

lrp .28 spec 3 is one heck of a sweet engine......mine goes like a scared cat and seems very easy to tune. These things will almost fly.

I have to second the LRP Spec 3 .28. It is a very wicked engine. As far as power for the price I will say there is NO equal.....in my opinion only. The only problem I have with it is.....breakage. It keeps snapping the rear/center drive shaft. So I upgrade to MIP CVDs....guess what? Still broke it. So if the engine will snap MIPs (supposed to be the strongest there is) I will have to say it has some big hairy.....um....knuckles?

ill third the LRP spce 3 as well i was going to put one in my aftershock and heard nothing but great things.beastly power and long lasting is all i was told from everybody i asked.
