I had thought about doing that when I replace my engine in my savage for the hyper 21 8 port or the other big one Ofna is puttiong out, I think the .26 Picco Outlaw or something.

Yeah It looks like it but why would someone put such a lameass .21 in a truck that slick. Makes no sense...X

Wait I take the slick comment that looks like it is all gpm stuff so that answered my own question....X

Thats a nice lookin maxx... and for the money in it.. why isnt there a better motor in it?

when I first saw it I thought it was a normal .21 engine until I saw the header/pipe gascet with the "HPI" on it and the huge airfilter

Yup - .21 bb. I'm loving this mill so far. can't wait to see what the 8 port can dish out! Especially for the price.

Sweet looking ride!

it either the Savage engine or the Lightning engine there the same even though one says Hot Bodies and one says HPI. I agree why would you go through all the trouble to do a .21 conversion and then scimp on the engine? Shoot a Hyper .21 8 port would blow that outta the water for the same price. I think that thing only puts out 1.6 bhp which makes it the weakest .21 around. I hear a lot of Savage owners say I love my truck and hate the engine so they replace it since its a direct fit for most .21 sports engines.:hehe:

I dont know about that, this stock engine tears it up! Its not weak by any means!

Dont forget, all mills are 'claimed' bhp. After all, the RPM's are what really count arent they?

I dont know, I get lost sometimes. Either way, for a stock mill, coming with the Savage, it rocks! There is always better than stock.

Sorry didnt mean to offend its just that I drove my buddies and while its torquey its just not all there for a .21 in my opinion. I'm not comparing it to a Rossi or RB or anything just comparing it to like the Ofna hyper .21 and such. I know the whole bhp is scewed by variables such as glow plug, nitro content, and wheather- some people even dyno without the flywheel so I think their rating it right off the shaft. Anyways I like the savage I just expected more than 30mph outta it since its a .21:thumbsup:

And I think it goes "BHP sells engines but torque wins races" Thats something that queer Holmwrecker always likes to say. So glad I got banned from the Traxxas board, shoot they did me favor the way I look at it now!

No offense at all taken. I just wouldnt concede that the stock was a roach hehehe

But like you said, for the same money as the replacement (or at least VERY close to it) you can get a stronger mill! No doubt, my next one will be a Hyper 8.

I am glad you guys are so lax here. I still am a little gunshy when talking to a mod from the other board. I just think its an awesome concept to have an opinion and voice it but they didnt!
buncha ass monkeys.
