Has anyone have any thought on this. I have a Savage X 4.6, I just ordered the XL chassis. Has some one tried this? If so How do you like it so far?
 
I have not tryed it but i have thought about that. One of my freinds are in the process of doing that conversion right now. i like it looks cool and my thoughts about it would help the truck out on rolling over backwards.it going to look just like the xl but with out the big tires. people have done this and my pics are out there. that will be another day for mine
 
Yea I've done it and love it!! no going back to that small savage x lol but now i trying to decide what tires would go with it beside the stock xl tires. so if any one has some ideas please let me know. I'm running the lrp .28 and 3 speed tranny had it converted about a week and boy is it fun to drive!! now my poor mgt just sits lol
 
Congrats thats a fun conversion,good choice on mill and tranny too mst be a blast to drive.
 
Mine has the extended FLM low CG TVPs which makes it about the same length as the XL but not as wide. Handles great....but it also has a lot more done to it to help that out.
