savage combo

Or you could buy the 25 combo for $409 and put the other 150 into upgrade parts that you want.

The differences I see in the two are these:
1. SS comes with tuned pipe (ebay=$30)
2. The futaba radio you have in the combo is a little nicer than what comes in the 25 rtr, but no one I know has had problems with the rtr radio or servos.
3. you could save $150 by getting the RTR.

Then buy these:
1. Tuned Pipe ($30=Hpi ribbed pipe on ebay)
2. Steering upgrade linkage ($25=same place)
3. Nice set of aluminum adjustable shocks ($80=guess where?)

Either way you will end up with a nice truck, but the RTR seems like a better deal to me.

Also, Towerhobbies usually has very good prices.

I Agree that the RTR is a better route to take.
The stock 3 channel radio & servos are very good, I upgraded the steering servo to a Hi-Tec 645MG after recommendations from guys on this forum, but I only upgraded it after I smashed it in a bad crash.

It's a good deal but if I were you, get the SS kit from them, then choose your own radio. Their SS stock runs out pretty fast.

There are better radio's than that one out there. Also, you don't need the reverse module, crystal carrying case, batteries ... yadda yadda yadda, get the kit, radio, glow starter/charger, and quick fueler.

You could probably get them cheaper at your LHS. $339 is the cheapest I've seen on line. Everyone else charges $349+. Do some comparisson chopping. BUT the $569 is ok as a one stop shopping deal.
