Savage Chassis braces???

Hmmm Just ran acrosssed a product that is new to me. It is from integy and is a chassis side brace?? Is anyone using these, cometmplating using these or anything even close?? I see the savage as a pretty tough truck does anyone see any real advantage to this product. Here is a link

might be a good idea? i was just looking at my frame and it was bulging out on the pipe side. so i bent it bak . now it's probably weak there . those braces might be my cure?

I dunno, I haven't had any problems with the frame bending on my savage.

I wasted two chassis on my savage 21. When I wasted the third one I turned it into a parts truck for my 25. I made some extra braces for the chassis out of 3/8 square aluminum rod. I am sure that wont even stop me from doing it again.

Strength and rigidity are always a good thing. Do I think they are a necessity (the braces)? No. Do I think they are a good idea? Couldn't hurt. A stronger chassis means you can try to do more damage with bigger stunts and wilder driving.

See this is kind of what I was thinking. Looks like a wasteful place to put money to me honestly. I just wanted other people's opinions is all. Thx guys.

It is only wasteful if you think it is. By design, the Savage chassis is pretty much rock solid. It is based off of a hybrid box beam and truss style. The box beam portion gives it good strength in all axis. The truss style gives it good longitudinal (long axis...as in the length of the truck) strength.

BUT...as in anything, if you apply enough force you can damage the chassis or at least bend it.
