Want to know how.. 3 easy steps.

1. Jack the suspension upto full ride height.
(use cable ties around the dampers)

2. Buy the HPI big airflow airfilter
(this really helped)

3. Get your needles set to give good punch off the line.
(I had to tweak my mid needle 1/8 turn richer)
(I dont recormend you touch the mid.. but it helped)

Thats it. Mine wheelies on grass no problem. ;) Sometimes I get a wheelies on tarmack but wouldn't count it.

Wondered what all the fuss was about... until it started to wheelie... Now I think its Way COOL:cheerful:

on cable tie, i used some touring car 3.5lb springs as a spacer so i can also jump it with NO COIL BIND, the tie wraps are ok unless u plan to jump, the touring car springs do the job though...

also the 3shoe clutch helps alot...

where can I see more about a 3shoe clutch. and cable tie's are cheap. easy to fit in seconds.

when you say touring car springs, I've seen that but which springs. HPI? or some other make.

99% of the tourign car springs the same size.. so hpi or what ever.. check out savage-central.com for 3 shoe info..

The only thing I have done to my Savage is put the Hot Boddies tuned pipe, HD clutch pads (2 not 3), and a Hyper 21 8 Port and this thing flips on it's roof when you nail the gas too hard. I have the stock shocks (no zip tie lift). Those are the three mods I have done and this thing will wheelie on command on any surface (except loose dirt). I don't even have the engine leaned out yet because it's still too new.

could someone please give me the best tune combo for my carb please this is my first truck and dont want to screw it up. thanks.

Where are your needles now? Since you started, how much have you turned them in?

A good baseline is to set them back to stock and turn the HSN in anywhere from half to 3/4 a turn and that should be good.
